Haha! Finally, a review. After five months of strict soap experimentation, I have learned three things: Never trust threads, especially if they're from sellers who simply present their so-called testimonials, never confuse yourself reading reviews about a whitening product being sublimely effective on every type versus unfortunate aftereffects (not all are lucky), and if you want to know if something is effective, you have to try it yourself and PRAY HARD it doesn't damage anything, let alone your face.
CYLEINA BLACK PEARL SOAP
Cyleina is a US based product that has created a fad among people obsessed with white complexion since I think 2007. Not sure but 2007 was the earliest product review I have read so far. Anyway, all praises. I was quite assured by the hundreds of threads I have read about the most effective whitening soaps women would recommend, and since my brother and I are quite the type to not want to be baluga, I sent him some links. Be it that this soap has no other promotion strategies but testimonials, I think it's awesome. The brand speaks for itself.
A few points to take note of:
- It contains COLLAGEN, which is responsible for a well hydrated skin that prevents unnecessary skin breaks due to hot or cold weather; LICORICE, an antibacterial element that also helps lighten skin tone; the legendary ARBUTIN that gets rid of dead skin cells and prevents too much melanin production to make the skin radiantly whiter; andVITAMIN C&E, which makes the skin healthy and smooth with its antioxidant and moisturizing properties.
- It lightens dark spots and whitens skin faster than any other whitening soaps. (based on reviews)
- It works best when used with Koji San. (based on reviews)
- It prevents wrinkles and slows skin aging. It also prevents pimple and scar formation on the skin.
- It has this aromatic menthol scent.
- Prices: P130 for Black Pearl Supreme (100g) and P75 for the regular sized soap.
- It's available only in Watsons, Hortaleza and via direct selling (Click HERE and HERE)
What I really think about it after using it for three months:
- It truly whitens skin faster than other whitening soaps. And using it in combination with Koji San is indeed a power whitening combination.
- I didn't have any pimples or black heads for three months! But the whites are still there.
- The scent isn't really as aromatic as they say. Just an overrated thing.
- My underarms and elbows got lighter, but they're still dark so far.
- As for the moisturizing, I did feel skin smoothness. However, it doesn't feel hydrated, which is evidenced by the white marks on my skin after lightly scratching it. In fact I still needed to put some moisturizer to keep them moist. It's the soap since I drink a lot of water.
- It stains black on the soap dish and it doesn't lather much. I like it better when the soap makes bubbles. LOL
- Too expensive but still cheap compared to Hermes soaps.
In Conclusion:
I'll give Cyleina Black Pearl soap my personal recommendation and rate it 4 out of 5. My advise is that don't think of this as a miracle soap. Not all reviews assure you that your own personal experience with the brand will be the same. If you're too desperate, use papel de lija instead.
Oh and by the way, stay out of the sun.
